NikeLab X Stone Island
Nikelab companions with Stone Island for an upcoming iteration of it’s most effectively-known garment, the Nike Windrunner.
Celebrating the start of Nike’s 12 months of the Windrunner, the stunning capsule features Nike’s trademark silhouette constructed from two of the most iconic Stone Island fabrics. Originally created in 1978 by Nike’s first apparel designer, the Windrunner was revolutionary at the time for it’s unique raglan sleeved sample and 26-diploma chevron yoke, quickly becoming a favourite of each the top athletes and the most trendy and forward-thinking characters of the late 70’s.
Now, for 2015, Stone Island have delivered a unique update of the jackets, red stone island coat utilizing both their water/wind-resistant Mussole Gommata and iridescent, resin treated Nylon Steel fabrics. The Windrunners are padded with a PrimaLoft substrate, resulting in lightweight superior thermal efficiency. The result’s a luxurious and eye-catching make up, with Stone Island’s monochromatic garment dyed fabrics producing a placing mimicry of the normal Windrunner’s colour blocking.
