Neckover Trailer has been raising funds during October, breast cancer awareness month, for two specific women who are fighting the disease. The women are currently unaware the funds are being raised on their behalf.
Neckover decided to become more active in the community and chose to work through Tyler Oncology and identified two East Texans to help as they combat cancer.
The money raised has come from the sale of t-shirts that state, ight like a bull?on the front, and 淣eckover Trailer says, Knock the heck out of breast cancer?on the reverse. The shirts can be viewed on facebook if you search for Neckover Trailer Mfg.
According the Ashley Shipley, human resources and marketing, the shirts are $20 each and 100 percent of the proceeds will be paid directly to Tyler Oncology on behalf of the two chosen women.
Neckover Trailer will host a special free event at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Gospel Barn in Troup. The community is invited to enjoy finger foods, drinks and guest speakers. Information about breast cancer will be handed out at the event. The two ladies will be introduced and presented with the amount to be paid towards their medical bills.
Shipley indicated that while this was the first event, the goal of Neckover Trailer is to hold a similar event each October.
