The Ninth Doctor
Played by Christopher Eccleston
The Ninth Physician’s costume was often all black: black pants, black leather jacket, often a black v-neck shirt (typically the v-neck shirt was dark blue, burgundy, or inexperienced). His is by far probably the most stark of the costumes.

His costume matches his backstory as a brooding survivor of the catastrophic battle between the TimeLords and the Daleks, but whether it was this incarnation or the earlier one who truly fought in the war is not made clear. His was the revival of Doctor Who, last seen in collection because the Seventh Physician in 1989 and in a television movie as the Eighth Physician in 1996.

The Ninth Doctor’s black leather jacket is a tremendous piece. It’s a vintage WW2 era double-breasted black jacket with numerous details. It has a belt, straps on the cuffs, and pretty distinctive styling to its double row of buttons. Like our Nine, it has clearly been by way of too much, however was sturdy sufficient to outlive the test.

I’ve discovered correct vintage leather-based jackets on eBay, and so I’ve arrange a feed under to display any current auctions.

dukethepcdr 6 years in the past

Very good lens! I love Doctor Who! Each the “unique” and “revival” series are great! Generally the tales within the revival series get to be a bit heavy handed, particularly the Tenth Doctor’s, but I still benefit from the present total. I picked the Fourth Doctor in the poll partly as a result of I grew up watching Doctor Who on PBS within the U.S. and so they primarily confirmed the Third, Fourth and Fifth Docs. Tom Baker was and nonetheless is, the perfect actor to play the Physician. He has an uncanny ability to change his temper from deeply severe to perfectly foolish on the drop of a hat. There’s a certain impish quality to him. He all the time appeared very young, almost baby-like but his eyes looked very old however with a twinkle nonetheless in them. I’ve yet to see any of Matt Smith’s work as I do not get BBC America and haven’t saved up for the DVD field set but (why do they value so much?) of his first season. So I can’t be too laborious on him I suppose. He does seem a bit too very like slightly kid although from the trailers. I’ve heard one reviewer call Smith the “Twilight-ification” of the Doctor πŸ™‚

My favourite “new” Doctor was the Ninth one. Chris reminds me numerous Tom (minus the curly hair :)).

zaptrollwen 6 years ago

That is totally implausible! My first Physician was the Ninth, so I’ll all the time have a particular place in my coronary heart for Dr. Dark and Harmful – simply sufficient to nudge him above Tenth in your poll. I beloved seeing the breakdown of all of the totally different Docs’ costumes (and by “loved,” I mean “was decreased to a puddle of giggling fangirl glee,” of course). Definite like.
